IOA Sponsors New Tournament on 2020 Symetra Tour

The Symetra Tour is thrilled to announce a new stop on its 2020 schedule. From October 15–17, the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla., will host the very first Mission Inn Resort & Club Championship, brought to you by Insurance Office of America (IOA).

An Exciting IOA Tournament on the Legendary El Campeón

Competitors will be at odds with a 54-hole stroke play on one of the South’s oldest courses, El Campeón. This championship marks the first time an LPGA event is held on the historic George O’Neil-designed course. Rolling greens and exciting elevation changes stand in the way of a winner’s share of $18,750. Moreover, a total prize pool of $125,000 is up for grabs to be distributed with cuts to the lower 60 competitors and ties after the 36th hole.

“Working with Mission Inn and the Symetra Tour during these unique times to provide a new event has not only been exciting for the Club and Tour, but also for the IOA family,” said IOA Chairman and CEO Heath Ritenour. “Providing these talented young ladies with more opportunities to pursue their dreams is what allows the IOA values and brand to be even more relatable to our consumer, especially in a year full of challenges and uncertainty. We are thrilled to help make this tournament a reality.”

IOA and Symetra: A Storied Partnership

IOA is a proud partner of the 2020 Symetra Tour. The full-service insurance agency was also associated with the IOA Championship at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Beaumont, Calif., earlier this year, as well as the IOA Classic, brought to you by HomeValue.com in Longwood, Fla., from September 25–27.

Stay tuned for a fourth event — the IOA International at the Atlanta National Golf Club in Milton, Ga. — which was postponed until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Paving the Way for Women’s Golf With IOA and Symetra

IOA is also thrilled to introduce the Keiser University College of Golf to its sponsors who are providing opportunities for the “Road to the LPGA” members.

“On behalf of our colleagues at Visit Lake and Mission Inn Resort & Club, we are thrilled to welcome the inaugural Mission Inn Championship presented by IOA to Lake County,” said Jason Siegel, President, and CEO of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission. “We look forward to working with our partners and the LPGA to deliver a tremendous event experience for the Symetra Tour players who are the future stars of women’s professional golf.”
